B.Tech/ M. Tech or M.Sc in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Metallurgical Engineering.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Professional for Chemical Process Engineering (Metallurgy) with approximately 18 years of expertise in the non ferrous metal extraction field. He can be from a chemical manufacturing background, preferably dealing with non-ferrous metals/ alloys. Candidate will be responsible for the analysis, testing, standardisation and optimization of processes involved in the production and quality control of non-ferrous metallic compounds.

Work will be performed in a combination of office, laboratory, and on-site factory environments.

Leading and overseeing metallurgical and chemical testing of non-ferrous metals/ alloys, ensuring high-quality output and process efficiency across multiple stages of production.

Conduct detailed material analysis, including composition, structure, and properties of various non-ferrous metallic compounds/ alloys.

Analyze chemical reactions involved in production, ensuring optimal reaction conditions and effective control of impurities. Develop and implement strategies for the recycling of materials and the improvement of sustainability in the production process.

Support quality assurance by developing and validating testing methods for finished product, ensuring compliance with international standards like ISO. Prepare and deliver technical reports on findings, research, and recommendations to senior management and external clients, as needed.

Mentor and train a team of QC chemists and junior production engineers, sharing expertise in metallurgical techniques, safety protocols, and process optimization.

Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the non-ferroalloy sector and metallurgy sector.

A minimum of 15 to 18+ years of hands-on experience in metallurgy, non ferrous metal extraction techniques through hydrometallurgy/ pyrometallurgy. Experience with environmental and sustainability practices in metallurgy, with a focus on waste reduction and recycling. Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 50-70%) to client locations, production facilities, and testing labs globally.
 

Excellent communication and report-writing skills to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Should possess ability to lead cross-functional teams and guide junior engineers and chemists.

The role may involve material handling and operating in high-temperature environments, requiring adherence to strict safety norms.
