Job Title: IT Operations & Support Executive

Location: SMIFS Ltd, Kolkata
CTC: ₹5,00,000 per annum
Working Hours: 05:00 PM to 02:00 AM
Department: IT & Technical Support
Reporting To: Head of IT Operations


Job Summary:

SMIFS Ltd is seeking a dedicated and technically proficient IT Operations & Support Executive to manage and maintain critical trading and back-office systems during evening and night operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of ODIN, IOB, ALGO, and PROTECTOR systems, performing backups, monitoring servers, and providing client support for MCX trading.

Details

System Backup & Maintenance

40%

Perform EOD backups for ODIN, IOB, Greek, NetNet, and SQL databases. Ensure data integrity and timely completion of backup processes.

File Management for BOD

20%

Download and organize Beginning-of-Day (BOD) files for ODIN Retail, IOB, ALGO, and PROTECTOR systems. Ensure readiness for next-day operations.

Client Support (MCX)

20%

Provide technical support to MCX clients for trading and back-office issues. Troubleshoot and resolve queries efficiently.

Server Monitoring & Patch Updates

20%

Monitor server health, disk space, and performance. Apply updates and patches to SharePro and other critical systems.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in IT operations, preferably in a stock broking or financial services environment.
  • Hands-on experience with ODIN, IOB, SQL databases, and server monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with MCX trading platforms and back-office systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently during night shifts.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Experience in handling BOD/EOD processes in trading environments.
  • Knowledge of SharePro patching and disk space management.
  • Good communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
  • Reliability and attention to detail in managing critical systems.
