Job Summary – Circle Head

The Circle Head – Micro Banking is responsible for leading and managing the microfinance and micro banking operations across the assigned circle/region. The role focuses on business growth, compliance, portfolio quality, and team leadership to ensure sustainable financial inclusion. The Circle Head drives branch performance, monitors credit quality, builds customer relationships, and ensures adherence to regulatory guidelines and organizational policies.


Key Responsibilities

· Business Development & Growth

    • Drive customer acquisition, portfolio expansion, and revenue generation in micro banking.
    • Develop strategies to increase penetration in rural/semi-urban markets.
    • Ensure achievement of business targets for branches under the circle.
    • Deliquency Management: OD increase in % OD Movement = 100*(OD Os at Year End -OD Os at Year Beginning)/OD Os at Year Beginning
    • Increase in AB borrower= (AB Borrower in year ending- AB Borrower in year beginning)*100/AB Borrower in year beginning
    • Loan Outstanding Growth Calculate Average growth FY
    • Net Slippage: % of Standard Borrower slipped to NPA bucket Average of MoM % Net Slippage during the financial "Average Slippage % = (Total monthly %slippage/12)

· Operational Excellence

    • Oversee day-to-day functioning of micro banking branches.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPI) such as disbursement, repayment, and collection efficiency.
    • Ensure timely reporting, audit compliance, and adherence to RBI/organizational guidelines.

· Risk & Portfolio Management

    • Maintain high portfolio quality by monitoring delinquency, NPAs, and implementing corrective actions.
    • Ensure robust credit underwriting and effective collection mechanisms.
    • Identify and mitigate risks in lending practices.

 

· Team Leadership & Development

    • Lead, mentor, and motivate branch managers, field officers, and support staff.
    • Conduct regular reviews, performance evaluations, and training sessions.
    • Foster a culture of customer service, compliance, and accountability.
    • Staff development and retention

· Stakeholder & Community Engagement

    • Build strong relationships with local communities, SHGs, and JLGs to promote financial inclusion.
    • Liaison with regulatory authorities, government bodies, and local institutions as required.

  • In-depth knowledge of microfinance/micro banking operations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving ability for portfolio & risk management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong compliance and regulatory orientation.

Experience / Skillset / Certifications Required:

  • Educational Qualification- Preferably MBA
  • Minimum 12 to 18 years of Experience in Micro Banking.

Salary Bracket - 18 LPA - 30 LPA
