What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?

The Area Manager is responsible for managing his own set of relationships and supervising team of sales professionals to drive sales KPIs for the designated distribution partners.
•
As a senior sales team member, AM is responsible for driving the sales strategy of the company, also responsible for giving the management on-ground feedback on the strategy.
•
The AM leads the team of select salespeople within the cluster, who are responsible for running business channels across the cluster – National Distributors (including Banks), Independent Mutual Fund Distributors and Direct Channel.
•
The AM is responsible for running own targets as well as targets of the team and generating sales in the company’s products
•
The person is responsible to work closely with the Distributors in the region – directly and indirectly with the team to achieve maximum possible penetration in the distributor system.
•
Identify and acquire new distribution partners and strengthen relationships with existing partners
•
Taking various sales initiatives with the distribution channel.
•
Participating in various distribution initiatives taken by the firm.
•
Achieve defined Gross, Net Sales and Asset targets defined each year for self and team.
•
Monitoring of Sales Metrics – MIS, Mathematics of Retail, Talisma- Sales reporting with quality KPIs, Budgets, Activities, Call Reports, Weekly management reports, etc.

Manage administrative issues of the team, including escalation of operational issues, etc.
What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
•
Ability to demonstrate role model behavior regarding FT values and culture
•
Should have strong understanding of markets, products and presentation skills.
•
Should have at least 5 years experience of managing Private Wealth outfits.
•
Leading from the front to demonstrate success
•
Demonstrate ability to mentor and groom team
•
Facilitate the implementation and acceptance of change
•
Encourage and support team development by prioritizing and sustaining a learning culture in team
