Job Purpose / Role Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Database developer - IT or ETL developer – IT, with a strong foundation in MS SQL Server/Oracle/Bigdata, and SSIS implementations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing TSQL/PLSQL and Hive/Impala queries or might also able to develop SSIS packages. The ETL skilled candidate should also be able to monitor TSQL jobs based on SSIS packages on weekly basis, analyze and report to next level if any exception occurs.
Main Accountabilities / Key Responsibilities:
Technical responsibilities (Type 1)
Ø Good understanding of SQL Database Query (MS-SQL/PL-SQL) development.
Ø Good understanding of Bigdata Query (Hive/Impala) development.
Ø Robust knowledge of SQL database or NoSQL database functionalities.
Ø Good understanding of Stored Procedure, Function, Index, Trigger, Cursor etc. are required.
Technical responsibilities (Type 2)
Ø Good knowledge of implementation and development of ETL pipeline or data flow techniques using SSIS technology.
Ø Monitoring of ETL SSIS job and report the job status on a specific time interval.
Ø Technical analysis of in case of failure of SSIS job and take necessary steps to resolve the issue.
Monitoring, Development & Effective Communication:
Ø Interact with internal department stakeholders on a regular basis and report the status of the ongoing developments and progress of jobs.
Ø Create and maintain development queue and communicate with all stakeholders regarding the progress.
Ø Create SQL logic, Stored procedures, functions, index and views as per project requirement.
Ø Establish data extraction, transformation and loading process using SSIS Visual Studio tool.
Ø Monitor SSIS jobs for any error or exception and provide support to fix the error.
Ø Monitor server logs, check the data loading status, fix job execution bugs etc.
Ø Translate user requirements to logical statements and develop variables, calculated fields, parameters, sets and groups.
Ø Prepare estimates of effort required for development of user requirements.
Ø Prepare technical documentation for projects.
Experience / Skillset / Certifications Required:
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s/master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Application or related field.
Experience:
Ø 3–8 years of experience in a database logic implementation.
Ø 3-8 years of experience in ETL process development and monitoring.
Ø Exposure to IT project environments.
Skills & Competencies:
Ø Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ø Proficiency in tools like SSMS, SQL developer, Visual Studio (SSIS), Hue Editor.
Ø Familiarity with SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall development methodologies.
Ø Familiarity with documentation and presentation skills.

Ø Requirement Accuracy: High-quality and complete development of IT projects using TSQL, PL/SQL, Hive/Impala or SSIS technologies.
Ø Job Execution Accuracy: Timely and accurate job status tracking and reporting in case of any error or exception.
