Role Title: Key Account Manager (KAM) – Salary Accounts (GCC Portfolio)

Business Unit: Corporate Salary
Location: NCR/Bangalore
Reports To: Head – City Head/State Head Corporate Salary


Role Purpose

Drive acquisition, activation, and deepening of salary accounts from GCC-based corporates with operations, offshoring centres, and technology hubs in India. Own end‑to‑end relationship management, portfolio growth, and customer experience to maximise penetration, balances, and cross‑sell.


Key Responsibilities

1. Corporate Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Identify and acquire new GCC-headquartered corporates operating in India (ITES, GCC hubs, captives, shared services).
  • Lead end-to-end corporate onboarding—pitching, proposal creation, commercials, and documentation.
  • Drive salary account penetration and employee coverage across sites, units, and verticals.
  • Coordinate with branches, implementation teams, and payroll partners for seamless onboarding.

2. Portfolio Management & Deepening

  • Expand within existing corporates by activating new business units, geographies, and vendor ecosystems.
  • Monitor account-level inflows, balances, product usage (UPI, debit spends, FD, credit cards), and improve portfolio quality.
  • Conduct regular reviews with corporate HR, finance, and leadership teams to strengthen relationships.

3. Employee-Level Engagement

  • Plan and execute employee engagement activities—desk drives, digital onboarding, webinars, and campaigns.
  • Ensure frictionless digital journey (eKYC, V-KYC, API-driven onboarding) for all employees.
  • Improve activation metrics: first salary credit, debit card POS usage, mobile banking registration.

 

4. Cross-Sell & Revenue Growth

  • Increase share of wallet by cross‑selling personal loans, credit cards, insurance, and investment products.
  • Track and grow the active customer base, CASA balances, and revenue per customer.
  • Identify product-level opportunities based on employee profiles (e.g., NRI, tech workforce, senior expats).

5. Governance, Compliance & Risk

  • Ensure full adherence to KYC, AML, and regulatory compliance across onboarding and servicing.
  • Implement maker-checker processes and manage fraud‑risk controls for zero-error acquisition.
  • Maintain documentation accuracy, audit readiness, and adherence to internal policies.

6. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

  • Work closely with Wholesale Bank teams, digital onboarding partners, payroll platforms, and product teams.
  • Provide feedback to product, risk, and technology teams to improve onboarding and overall experience.
  • Drive corporate satisfaction through strong service governance and SLA compliance.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong relationship management & corporate engagement skills.
  • Understanding of GCC corporate structures, sectors (IT/ITES, BFSI, manufacturing), and HR/payroll processes.
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Data-driven approach—ability to track metrics and drive outcomes.
  • Knowledge of salary account products, digital onboarding, CASA drivers, and cross-sell products.
  • High ownership, execution capability, and multi-stakeholder coordination.

Experience & Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in corporate salary acquisition, transaction banking, or key account management.
  • Prior experience handling GCC or multinational corporates preferred.
  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Finance, or related fields.
  • Proven track record of acquisition targets, portfolio management, and cross-sell.

  • Monthly GCC salary account acquisitions.
  • % Penetration of eligible employee base.
  • Activation metrics (first salary credit, digital activation, debit usage).
  • Portfolio CASA growth & cross-sell revenue.
  • Corporate retention and satisfaction scores.
