Position: Area Sales Manager – Auto GI

Location: Mumbai
Experience: 10–15 Years
CTC: ₹15–20 LPA (flexible up to ₹24 LPA for the right candidate)

 

Role Summary

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented Area Sales Manager to drive the Auto GI (Automotive General Industrial) business in the assigned territory. The role involves managing key automotive and industrial accounts, developing channel networks, and driving business growth through strong customer engagement and execution excellence.

The candidate should have strong exposure to automotive coatings/industrial coatings sales and a solid understanding of OEMs, auto component manufacturers, fabrication units, and related industrial segments.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and achieve volume and revenue targets for Auto GI products within the assigned territory
  • Develop and expand business with automotive OEMs, auto ancillary units, component manufacturers, fabricators, and industrial customers
  • Manage and strengthen relationships with distributors, dealers, and channel partners
  • Identify new business opportunities and aggressively drive new customer acquisition
  • Conduct regular customer visits, technical discussions, product demonstrations, and commercial negotiations
  • Coordinate with technical and application teams for product trials, approvals, and successful conversions
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing movements, and customer requirements
  • Ensure timely collections, credit control, and overall commercial discipline
  • Maintain strong market presence and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction

 

Key Requirements (Must Have)

  • 10–15 years of experience in Paints, Industrial Coatings, Automotive Coatings, or Industrial Chemicals sales
  • Strong exposure to Auto GI / Automotive Industrial coatings segment
  • Proven track record in territory or area sales management with consistent target achievement
  • Strong experience in B2B industrial and automotive sales
  • Hands-on exposure to channel management and direct key account handling
  • Excellent customer-facing, negotiation, and relationship management skills

 

 

 

 

Additional Requirements

  • Strong network within Mumbai and Maharashtra industrial belt
  • Experience in dealing with automotive OEMs, auto ancillary units, fabrication units, and industrial applicators
  • Ability to handle technical sales discussions and solution-based selling
  • Good understanding of industrial coating applications and customer processes

Ideal Candidate Profile

A proactive and execution-driven sales professional with strong on-ground market experience in automotive and industrial coatings. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently driving territory growth through both direct customer engagement and channel development.
