Job Purpose / Role Summary:

The Territory Head – Recovery (SBAL) is responsible for overall recovery management across the assigned territory for Small Business and Agri Loan (SBAL) portfolios. The role includes target allocation, supervision of Cluster Heads and Collection Executives, monitoring recovery performance, managing delinquency trends, coordinating legal recovery actions, agency management, fraud control, and ensuring achievement of recovery and collection targets while maintaining compliance with Bank policies and regulatory guidelines.

Main Accountabilities:

• Allocate recovery and collection targets across clusters and subordinate recovery teams.
• Monitor the performance and activities of Cluster Heads, Collection Managers, and Collection Executives.
• Ensure reduction in delinquency, NPA, and write-off accounts across the territory.
• Analyze portfolio data to identify geographical and demographic delinquency trends.
• Drive corrective strategies and action plans for recovery improvement.
• Coordinate with HR and management teams for manpower planning and recruitment support.
• Oversee legal recovery proceedings and ensure timely escalation of critical cases.
• Manage collection agencies and monitor agency performance and compliance adherence.
• Monitor fraud control activities and coordinate with stakeholders for resolution of fraud-related recovery cases.
• Conduct regular field visits, audits, monitoring exercises, and operational gap assessments.
• Ensure timely MIS reporting, data accuracy, and recovery performance reviews.
• Coordinate with business, legal, operations, and audit teams for recovery effectiveness.
• Ensure customer complaint resolution and adherence to ethical collection practices.
• Implement corrective actions for operational inefficiencies and portfolio risks.
