Job Description
Purchase & Procurement Responsibilities
• Handle end-to-end purchase activities for raw materials, consumables, spares, and services related to:
o Super Enamel Copper Wire
o Lead Tubes
o Aluminum Wires
• Coordinate with the Uttarakhand plant to understand material requirements and timelines
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers
• Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality standards
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up for timely deliveries
• Maintain purchase records, vendor databases, and documentation
• Coordinate with accounts for billing, GRN, and payment processing
Plant Coordination Responsibilities
• Act as a single point of contact between the Uttarakhand Plant and Kolkata Head Office
• Coordinate production updates, material status, dispatch schedules, and operational issues
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment
• Support plant management in resolving operational or supply-related challenges
• Ensure proper communication of management decisions to the plant and vice versa
• Visit the plant as required to support coordination, audits, and operational reviews
Reporting & Communication
• Prepare and submit regular reports on procurement status, plant coordination activities, and key issues
• Ensure smooth communication across departments such as production, stores, accounts, and logistics
