Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales Growth

· Define and achieve sales, volume, and revenue targets for both General Industrial Coatings and Powder Coatings in the Southern Region.

· Expand the customer base: identify new accounts, segments and industries (OEMs, architectural, manufacturing, infrastructure, etc.).

· Retain and grow business with existing key accounts and ensure high customer satisfaction.

 

Market Analysis & Strategy

· Monitor market trends, competitor activity, pricing, regulatory changes etc. in the coatings / powder coating industry.

· Develop region-specific business strategies, sales plans and action plans.

· Propose new product lines or adaptations to meet local needs or environmental / regulatory demands.

 

Technical & Product Support

· Ensure technical support to customers (coating specification, surface preparation, curing, quality etc.).

· Liaise with R&D / Technical Service teams to provide feedback from customers, assist in new product introductions, trouble-shooting for performance / line issues.

 

Operational Excellence

· Ensure logistics, supply chain, warehousing and delivery are optimized — ensuring consistent product availability and timely delivery.

· Manage inventory levels, ensure minimal stock-outs and efficient stock turns.

· Oversee cost controls, margin management, pricing discipline.

 

Team Leadership

· Lead, mentor and manage the regional sales & technical support teams (Area / Branch / Territory Managers).

· Set performance objectives, conduct reviews, coach and build capabilities in sales, technical and customer service staff.

· Recruit as needed, ensure training (product, technical, safety) for staff.

 

 

Customer Relations & Key Accounts

· Maintain strong relationships with major clients, specifiers (architects, consultants For Powder Coating ), GI / Powder OEMs, contractors etc.

· Ensure complaint resolution, quality issues are handled promptly.

 

Profitability & P&L Management

· Monitor margin, cost of goods sold, overheads and ensure efficient operations to maximize profitability.

· Budgeting, forecasting and ensuring business plans are achieved for South .

 

Reporting & MIS

· Regularly update management with business performance: sales, margins, market share, forecasts, risks etc.

· Ensure that MIS systems are used for tracking orders, customer feedback, competitor intelligence etc.
