Job Purpose / Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic professional to lead and oversee the operations of an entire cluster, comprising approximately 42–50 branches. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in managing secured and unsecured business loan products, with a demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams effectively. This role demands a decisive leader capable of resolving complex operational challenges and driving consistent business growth through sound judgment and swift decision-making. A strong understanding of both Direct Sourcing and DSA (Direct Selling Agent) channels is essential, along with a proven track record in achieving sales and portfolio targets. Preference will be given to candidates with a background in banking or financial services, particularly those with experience managing large-scale loan distribution networks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ø Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across the entire cluster, comprising approximately 42–50 branches, to ensure optimal performance and alignment with business objectives.
Ø Supervise and guide a large and diverse team, including 5–6 Area Managers and 20–30 Relationship Managers, fostering a high-performance culture.
Ø Drive sustainable growth in both secured and unsecured business loan portfolios, ensuring consistent achievement of monthly and annual sales, disbursement, and productivity targets, along with collections.
Ø Ensure on-time Repayment for the Regular and SMA-0 Portfolio.
Ø Formulate and execute regional business strategies aimed at enhancing market penetration, improving channel efficiency, and achieving overall revenue objectives.
Ø Oversee and strengthen the performance of DSA (Direct Selling Agent) networks while optimizing direct sourcing channels to enhance lead quality and conversion rates.
Ø Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory guidelines, company policies, and compliance frameworks across all operational activities within the cluster.
Ø Monitor team performance through regular reviews, providing coaching, mentoring, and training interventions to improve capabilities and drive consistent outcomes.
Ø Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders, including Credit, Risk, Collections, and Operations, to ensure seamless loan processing and exceptional customer service delivery.
Ø Maintain a proactive focus on portfolio health, identifying and mitigating risks to ensure the quality of assets across all branches under management.
Ø To ensure the timely closure of Audit Observations and Minimizing Financial Misappropriation.
Experience / Skillset / Certifications Required:
Ø Experience & Leadership: Possess a proven track record of 12–15 years in the lending and sales domain, with a minimum of 6–10 years in a senior leadership position, successfully managing large teams and driving business outcomes.
Ø Expertise in Business Loans: Demonstrate deep proficiency in both secured and unsecured business loan / CC / OD / LAP products, with a comprehensive understanding of their respective market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
Ø Direct Sourcing & DSA Management: Exhibit hands-on experience in managing Direct Sourcing channels and establishing and nurturing DSA partnerships to optimize business acquisition and improve sourcing efficiency.
Ø Leadership & People Management: Showcase exemplary leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, guide, and manage diverse teams across multiple locations. Effectively balance operational execution with strategic leadership to meet organizational objectives.
Ø Performance Management: Display an aptitude for driving performance across diverse geographical locations, ensuring consistent delivery on key business metrics while managing relationships with various stakeholders.
Ø Regional Market Knowledge: Leverage in-depth market knowledge and understanding of the region’s economic landscape, client needs, and competitor strategies to enhance business performance and capture new market opportunities.
Ø Industry Background: A background in Banking or NBFCs is highly preferred, bringing in-depth
industry insights and expertise in financial product management, risk assessment, and compliance standards.
