Job Summary:

The Agency Manager – Recovery is responsible for managing and monitoring collection agencies to ensure effective recovery of overdue accounts while maintaining compliance with regulatory and organizational policies. The role involves agency performance management, delinquency control, legal coordination, and achieving collection targets across assigned portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise external recovery agencies for assigned locations/portfolios.
• Ensure timely collection of overdue payments and reduction in delinquency.
• Monitor agency performance through regular reviews, scorecards, and productivity tracking.
• Allocate recovery cases to agencies based on portfolio strategy.
• Conduct field visits and agency audits to ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Coordinate with legal teams for SARFAESI, arbitration, repossession, and other recovery proceedings, wherever applicable.
• Resolve escalated customer issues while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Prepare and analyze MIS reports, collection trends, recovery efficiency, and agency performance.
• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, company policies, and ethical recovery practices.
• Identify underperforming agencies and implement corrective action plans.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Branch, Credit, Operations, and Risk teams.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of collection and recovery processes.
• Experience in managing recovery agencies and field collections.
• Understanding of retail lending products (Personal Loan, Business Loan, Auto Loan, LAP, Home Loan, Credit Card, etc.).
• Knowledge of legal recovery processes and regulatory compliance.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
• Good analytical and MIS reporting abilities.
• Team management and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graduate in any discipline (MBA preferred).
• Experience in Banking, NBFC, or Financial Services.
